The most expensive 90 days of an energy contract are the ones before it ends.
If you let your contract roll to default rates at expiry, you're typically paying 15–30% above market. Get your bill to us 60–90 days out.
We're paid by the energy retailer when you switch — never by you.
Why renewal timing matters
Commercial energy contracts typically run 12, 24, or 36 months. At the end, three things can happen:
- You sign a new fixed contract — usually at terms set by the incumbent retailer, who knows you're already on the meter.
- You let it roll to default rates — frequently 15–30% above the market for that load size.
- You re-quote to the panel — which is what we do. Same site, sharper pricing, switched cleanly at expiry.
Our renewal cadence
- 90 days out: We pull your meter data and shop the panel.
- 60 days out: Comparison sheet on your desk. Recommendation made.
- 30 days out: Letter of Authority signed. New retailer notified.
- Day 1 of new term: Switch completes. Same wires, lower bill.
If you're already past expiry
It's not too late. If you've been on default rates for a few months, the saving on the next switch is bigger — there's more to make up. Send your most recent bill and we'll move fast.
Annual review — even mid-contract
We review your contract annually whether you're mid-term or not. Mid-contract savings come from tariff right-sizing, capacity demand reductions, or moving between flat and time-of-use as your usage shifts. Often there's nothing to do — but we check.
We're paid by the energy retailer when you switch — never by you.
When we move your account to a new retailer, that retailer pays us a commission — partly upfront, partly as a trail while you're with them. Your rate is your rate. There's no markup, no broker fee on your invoice, no monthly subscription.
We disclose the commission existence on every quote. If you want to know the exact dollar amount on a deal, ask. We'll tell you.
This is why we win on transparency: we'd rather show you the maths than dress up the savings.
